Complimentary Consultation

At your first visit to our office the doctor will give you a thorough oral examination including a medical/dental history. We will discuss your specific orthodontic needs, listen to your concerns and present treatment options to align your teeth. We will also discuss cost for treatment, financial arrangements and insurance coverage.

After the consultation, the next appointment is your complete diagnostic records. These typically include plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays. These records are carefully measured and evaluated to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

Regular Appointments

The appointment for placing your appliances (braces, expanders, headgears etc..) usually takes 1 to 2 hours. Follow-up visits will then be scheduled to check the condition and progress of your appliance and make adjustments as needed. These visits typically range from 4-8 weeks apart and are determined based on which appliance and treatment is being used. These visits can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or more. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you will be late or cannot keep an appointment, please call us immediately. If you have any loose/broken appliances, please call us so we can either make a sooner appointment to repair or make you comfortable, or add extra time to your regularly scheduled visit.
